Bartlett MArch Architectural Design Project - Distinction - Gold Prize

The project was questioning the automation process in architecture, specifically within the mass context of house and housing construction. The project proposes not just a design, but a whole system of production which based on a fundamental digitalization method: modularising both the building components and the robots. By designing a robot and a brick which geometrically identical as a 'pizza box', the complexity of the building system reduces to just 2 types of unit: active robot and passive building component. Base on the research on Digital Material and Robotic Assembly, the project also developed a computational simulation system which utilizes the recent development in Machine Learning, to construct the house in a fully autonomous manner.
